Civic Works is operated by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We collect the minimum necessary to run civic actions and never sell your data.

What we collect

• Signups: name, email, optional phone — to send you reminders and a post-event check-in.
• Accounts (organizers, editors, admins): email + password + display name.
• Anonymous engagement: click and calendar-save counts per action. No PII attached.
• Hashed IP on engagement events (never raw IP).

Cookies

Essential cookies only: a session cookie when you sign in, and a CSRF token. No analytics cookies. No advertising. We don't track you across sites.

Your rights

You can:

• Unsubscribe from any email — there's a link at the bottom of every message.
• Download all data we hold on you — sign in and visit your settings.
• Delete your account — same page. Soft delete first; permanent purge on request.
• Email us with any concern at hello@civ.works.

Where the data lives

Civic Works runs on EU infrastructure. Email sent via our transactional email provider. SMS via Twilio when enabled. No data sold to third parties.
