This training will walk you through the Request to Speak process and help you feel confident sharing your voice with decision-makers. We’ll cover how to: Sign up for Request to Speak at the State Legislature Speak at County Board of Supervisors meetings Participate in City Council public comment Prepare a short, effective public comment Deliver your message with confidence This will be a hands-on, supportive training where participants will: Draft a short public comment Practice speaking in a friendly environment Do light role-playing to build confidence Whether you’re brand new to civic engagement or just want to feel more comfortable speaking in public, this training is for you.
