Since Inauguration Day, Trump has consistently upended our constitutional separation of powers to unilaterally control all branches of our government; impose his political agenda on the entire U.S. population; and extort or prosecute anyone who challenges him, his power, or his financial interests. - He [launched a paid subscription service](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/paid-early-access-to-trumps-posts-raises-insider-trading-questions) that charges up to $100,000 a month for early access to his own Truth Social posts, enabling him to personally profit off statements that can move financial markets, which some legal experts say classifies as [insider trading](https://fortune.com/2026/08/12/trump-media-truth-api-insider-trading/). - His own administration's Treasury Department [granted preliminary approval](https://archive.ph/0J0Zx) for a bank charter to World Liberty Trust, a Trump family-backed crypto venture, allowing them to profit directly from a business that is regulated by the the government. - Trump sued the IRS for $10 billion in damages from a leak of his 2019 tax returns. The legal authority and source of this payment is unclear, as is how it will be spent. In any other administration, just one of these egregious displays of authoritarianism would merit the removal of a president. It is beyond unacceptable that Congress has ceded their constitutional role to allow this fascist attack on our democracy to continue.
