Desert Democracy August Monthly Meeting

Join us for a special daytime viewing of Lightworkers. Lightworkers is a collection of stories about individuals from diverse backgrounds who have chosen to stand up for their communities and work toward positive change. You will recognize some of the subjects of this documentary such as Henry Winkler, Steve Van Zandt, Peter Coyote, Bruce Springsteen and many more authors, actors, legislators and activists…….but not all. *A core principle behind all Desert Democracy events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
