 to the editor are one of the most powerful tools we have to shape public o
 pinion and show local decision-makers that our community is paying attenti
 on. In this hands-on workshop\, we'll help you draft and submit your own l
 etter — no writing experience required.\n\nWe'll cover:\n- Why letters t
 o the editor matter and how they influence coverage and public opinion\n- 
 Key talking points and messaging for Hands Off Colorado\n- Tips for writin
 g a clear\, compelling\, and publishable letter\n- Where and how to submit
  to local papers\n- Time to draft your letter with support from volunteer 
 coaches\n\nBring a laptop or device if you'd like to draft and submit duri
 ng the session or just bring your ideas and we'll help you get started.\n\
 n**Part 2: Phone Bank**\n\nFollowing the workshop\, stick around for a pho
 ne bank supporting the same campaign. We'll use an online dialer platform 
 that connects you directly to voters and supporters. You'll read from a si
 mple\, conversational script covering key talking points and a couple of q
 uestions to gauge where the person you're speaking with stands.\n\nA train
 ed lead will walk everyone through:\n- Logging into the phone bank platfor
 m\n- How the dialer works (it does the dialing — you just talk!)\n- A wa
 lkthrough of the script and how to enter responses\n- Tips for handling co
 mmon questions or pushback\n\n**What you need:**\n\n- A laptop or device w
 ith internet access\n- Headphones (for phone bank)\n- No experience necess
 ary for either activity — just enthusiasm for the cause!
