  the races you already know about\, there are propositions written in dens
 e legal language\, judges up for retention\, and local offices that decide
  school curriculum\, community college tuition\, and eviction cases. Most 
 voters leave that half of the ballot blank.\n\nThis free bilingual worksho
 p walks through the ballot from top to bottom. You will get a sample ballo
 t in hand\, learn how to read a proposition and figure out what a yes-or-n
 o vote actually does\, and find out what offices like justice of the peace
  and school board really control. Bring your questions.\n\nHave a friend y
