 rt!\n\nFor eight months\, [Mesa Valley Indivisible](https://www.mesavalley
 indivisible.org/) members and a coalition of groups around the country hav
 e been working relentlessly to end Avelo Airlines’ involvement in the un
 lawful and inhumane deportation of primarily non‑violent immigrants via 
 Mesa Gateway Airport. As a result\, Avelo Airlines ended their contract 
 with ICE in January 2026!\n\nAlthough Avelo Airlines has left our Mesa Gat
 eway Airport\, ICE deportation missions still happen every day and the Ari
 zona Removal Operations Coordination Center (AROCC) continues to operate.\
 n\nWhen local lawmakers recently conducted a surprise visit to the Arizona
  Removal Operations Coordination Center here at Mesa Gateway\, they were s
 ickened by what they found. Despite being a transit hub meant for 12-hour 
 stays\, people were being held for weeks\, packed like sardines on bare co
 ncrete floors with no beds or showers. While the administration continues 
 to claim these are short-term facilities\, the reality has proven to be gu
 t-wrenching medical neglect and overcrowding.\n\n#### 📢 Join us on Satu

 s such as a tent for shade\, a fan mister\, a water cooler\, etc.\n- Don't
  forget to drink water the day before and bring your water bottle to the p
 rotest! We will also have extra water if anyone needs to refill their bott
 le!\n- MVI's goal is to always to pack all 4 corners of the intersection.

 by side and not behind one another so every driver & the media can see how
